Super Bowl XLVI: New England Patriots vs. New York Giants
The Road to Super Bowl XLVI began with eight teams. It ends in Indianapolis, where Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will meet Eli Manning and the New York Giants. Keep it locked on Bovada until Feb. 5 for all the best Super Bowl odds and information leading up to the big game.
Stop us if you’ve heard this one before. The Giants and Patriots met less than four years ago for the Vince Lombardi Trophy in the 42nd edition of the game. The Giants won that meeting 17-14.
New England’s playoff journey began with a bye through Wild Card weekend before making a mockery of Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos in a 45-10 thrashing. They followed that up with a dramatic 23-20 victory over Baltimore to win the NFC Championship, coming back in the fourth quarter and forcing the Ravens to turn the ball over for the first time this postseason. Baltimore kicker Billy Cundiff missed wide left on a field goal attempt with less than 15 seconds on the clock. And the rest, as they say, is history.
The Giants won the NFC East division, but their weak record forced them into a Wild Card game. However, it was as one-sided as could be, as the Atlanta Falcons barely showed up and suffered a 24-2 loss. The Giants then matched up against the postseason favorites from Green Bay and made a 37-20 victory look easy. They then clinched the NFC Championship with an overtime field goal to beat the 49ers 20-17.
The oddsmakers have given the edge to New England in this game, but don’t discount the fact that the Giants knocked off the top-seeded team in the NFC, and there’s no reason to believe they can’t do the same to the AFC’s No. 1, like they did in a 24-20 game back in Week 9. The Pats may have the better players, but history is overwhelmingly on the Giants’ side.
Bovada will have you covered for all the Super Bowl props and news right up until the big game. It’s all on the line.
