The 2020 US presidential election was historic for a number of reasons. Not only did more Americans (over 150 million) vote than ever before, more Americans bet on the election too – right here at Bovada Sportsbook.
You don’t have to wait for the next election to get into politics betting at Bovada. Odds are available almost all-year round, every year; you’ll often find politics odds from other countries on the board as well. To no surprise, the most popular political betting market is the US presidential election. At Bovada, you can find US presidential election odds, alongside many other odds too. Here’s how easy it is for you to join in.
If you’re not already part of the Bovada family, it takes only a moment to fill out our simple one-page form and open your free account. After you’ve been verified, you’re ready to place your first deposit at Bovada Sportsbook—and don’t forget to claim your Welcome Bonus, which we’ll make even bigger if you use cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and other digital coins are included) to make that transaction.
Now that you’ve got some betting money in your Bovada account, it’s time to surf the politics betting lines. The lines you’ll see on the Politics page are shown using the American odds format (you can switch to fractional or decimal odds if you prefer). As an example, here are some fictional US odds for the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee:
Field –290
Joe Biden +200
Here, Biden is a +200 underdog; he’ll pay out $200 for every $100 wagered (or $2 for every $1) if he does become the 2024 nominee. The “field” represents anyone else besides Biden; at –290 odds, the payout is $100 for every $290 wagered.
Once you decide which bet you want to place at Bovada Sportsbook, make your selection. This will then appear on your bet slip, where you can enter the amount of money you want to wager. Make as many additional bets or changes as you like before hitting the “Place Bet” button.
That’s it – your first venture into politics betting at Bovada has just been completed. Again, there will be hundreds of other bets available on the politics odds board as the US Presidential Election draws near. If you don’t see the name of the politician or party you want to bet on, just make a request, and we’ll do our best to post it. More information is available on our FAQ and Help pages as well. See you at the polls.
