There are no fruit symbols or Paylines to track in Hold The Gold. The screen is only Coins, so every spin comes down to how many of them land on the 3x3 grid.
Three or more Coins open the Bonus Game. The triggering Coins stay on the board, and the feature starts with 3 Respins. During the Bonus, every new Coin locks in place and resets the Respins back to 3. The round ends when the Respins run out or the whole grid is filled. A Mini Jackpot Coin pays 100x, and filling all 9 positions awards the 1,000x Mega Jackpot.
Hold The Gold is almost stubbornly simple, in a good way. It’s just a 3x3 gold Coin board and one question on every spin: did enough Coins land to start the bonus? That makes the game feel different from the other classic style titles, because it strips away the regular symbol chase and goes straight for the Coin feature.
The Bonus Game is where the little grid gets its tension. Three Coins are enough to start it, then the board begins filling one locked Coin at a time. Every new Coin resets the Respins to 3, so even one fresh landing can wake the round back up. The smaller 3x3 layout helps too. With only 9 spots, every empty space is easy to notice, especially once the grid is close to full and the Mega Jackpot is sitting one or 2 Coins away. Cash+ gives the game another button for players who want the Coin trigger to be more central to the session. It does not make the screen more complicated, which is the right call here. Hold The Gold gets its personality from being bare-bones and shiny: Coins land, Coins stick, and the bonus either runs out of room or runs out of spins. When that final empty space is still open and the counter jumps back to 3, the whole game suddenly feels bigger than its tiny grid.
